B rizzle,

If you want to get those knees bend, widen your stance bro. This will force you to bend those knees. I was having a little problem getting my knees bent and staying in the athletic position ( that's how you always want to be) So I maxed my Burton custom right out. Made my stance as wide as my board would let me, now I'm not saying that you need to max your stance out but I would suggest widening it out a bit. Also just practice dude. The more you ride the Betta you will get the quicker you will learn, it will become 2nd nature to keep those knees bent.,

Hmm. If your having trouble bending your knees under all that tough clothing and with a snowboard on, I suggest endurance excercise that will help you: i.e. squats, crunchs, situps- ab techniques that will help you. Also you will gain some great excercise and if you keep it up abs! Lastly I suggest trying to do squats- when you bend your knees then jump in the air and land bended, with your snowboard gear on. :)

Have a great day :) Mike

work on your endurance in your quads? I think this is one of those cases where I'd have to see it. I'm guessing youre a new rider, so I will say taht you're probably getting too uptight when you ride. Most new riders do because they're scared to wipe out, even though they won't admit it. They either end up crouched WAY down with their a$$ sticking out, or they stand straight up and lock their knees out and then catch an edge. SLOUCH! Your knees shouldn't be crazy bent, they should just be slightly bent so you can absorb shock. RELAX your upper body, just chill, live for the moment, enjoy yourself, breathe, don't worry about anything, just live for the ride. When you relax, your knees will bend to the point they're comfortable at.

If you're finding it difficult in the MUSCULAR sense, do squats, leg press, and do chair-sits against a wall when you're not boarding....anything to work on your gluts, quads and hamstrinbs
