I only really use my lowriders when i know im gonna need to fold them away. I always wear hats so when i go skating i usually wear my buds but the few times i have worn my lowriders iv had the same problem. The 2 things that helped me wher not extending the earphone bits too much which made them feel a bit tighter and wearing them over a beanie helps (they are loud enough to hear through a beanie) hope this helps.
