what is the best way to wash a snowboard jacket?
October 5th, 2009 | by admin |i have a light blue snowboard jacket, and it is getting dirty. it is a level 5 killtec jacket. it is breathable, waterproof, and windproof, and i don’t want to wreck any of this! i was thinking of just running my washer through an empty HOT cycle to clean it of any detergents, then just running the jacket through a cold cycle with no detergent, and letting it air dry. the laundry tag on it says machine wash in 30 degrees on the permanent press cycle. no tumble drying, no drycleaning, no ironing. how does this sound? does anyone have any recommendations?

If the fabric has a membranous layer laminated on the back you will destroy the breathability if you put it in the drier. Since the instruction say not to put it in the drier, assume that it is a laminated fabric. Wash it in cool water, 30 C or 86 F or 303.15 K with a detergent that doesn’t leave behind a residue (if you can smell it on the clothes, don’t use it). then hang it to dry.
